In the vampire community, there are many terms that have developed or merged from familiar occultic terminology. Some of the terms presented here on Aquilus are specific to a particular order, while others are in general usage throughout the vampire community. | Latent Vampire Author: Larae | Someone who is already naturally a vampire, but whose vampiric tendencies have not yet manifested. |
| Laterals Author: Larae | Two channels in the subtle body running parallel to the central axis of energy that corresponds to the spine. The laterals are not conduits of energy themselves but provide a structure of secondary support for the chakras, containing anchor points where numerous energy channels connect and converge. |
