In the vampire community, there are many terms that have developed or merged from familiar occultic terminology. Some of the terms presented here on Aquilus are specific to a particular order, while others are in general usage throughout the vampire community. Please acknowledge that these terms, although presented here, do not necessarily reflect those opinions/beliefs of Aquilus Dot Net or it's members. It is made available for informational purposes and should be viewed only as such. | Term | Definition |
| Of the Blood Author: Larae | A term often used to refer to someone who is of a vampire nature. |
| Order Author: Larae | Another term for a vampire or magickal household. |
| Otherkin Author: Larae | Individuals who do not identify themselves as strictly human. Some feel that their difference is purely spiritual, while others believe there is a genetic difference between themselves and humanity. Otherkin differentiate themselves from the the New Age concept of extraterrestrials, identifying instead with mythological beings. |
| Otherside Author: Larae | The nonphysical *space* immediately tangential to physical reality and inhabited by ghosts, the disembodied, and other discarnate entities. The Otherside is another term for the subtle reality. |
