I always wear a jasper.   I find that it keeps me calm and focused.  Everytime I don't wear it now I feel lost.


What do you wear or carry?  And how does it effect you??

I used to have a  stone  for every occasion. But now I wear metal, in this case silver. It has lunar attributes, although the effect for me is very subtle. The shape of the pendant actually holds more significance for me. A double-bladed ax which also sort of resembles Mjolnir, or Thor's hammer. 

I am still fond of protective stones, like obsidian or hematite.

I wear the eye of Horus.  It has protection attributes and calming effects on me. The necklace never gets taken off... I think if I did, I would be so lost without it...

I usually either wear my pentacle or my Cernunnos pendants.  I wear them because I feel comforted by them and because they help me feel more connected to my chosen path and deity.  I feel protection when I wear them as well as calm.

I wear a chain with a crystal owl. I have always felt protected with it on and I don't know why. But on top of  that, I have a lapis lazuli that  I like.
Lapis Lazuli meaning: The stone of total awareness. It can protect from physical danger and phychic attacts...so I wear it a lot

I have an amulet pouch that I carry various stones with me all the time. I can't leave the house without it. Other than that I've made a bunch of necklaces using various stones and will wear which ever one 'calls' to me in the morning. There are times when a certain stone will appear in a dream and then I carry that stone with me. My collection is too large to list but I have a fair number of stones although some of them I've bought for other people and I simply hold on to them until they are ready to have them.

I tend to be attracted to green stones like Malachite and Unakite as well as Jade's and Green Agates and Black Stones, Onyx, malachite, tourmaline and others. But I'll pick up and use any stone that comes my way.

Anathema, I understand how that is.  I also have a wide selection of stones and pendants.  I would wear them all of the time if I could but a lot of times, I can't wear certain pieces because of daily life or because the energies work against each other.  Some I wear for the energies and others because they have called to me.  My main ones that I wear are a triquetra with jade and a dragon with blue fairy wings holding a crystal ball.

I don't carry any stones with me on a daily basis anymore, but I do have I wide selection that I use on special occasions.
I also carry a carved bone ankh with me at all times. I am NEVER without it. I have always felt drawn to ankhs, even as a child.

I wear a sunflower ring, made of copper. I just somehow feel naked and revealed without it. I have a lot of rings and chains, but this one ring makes me feel relieved, and comfortable in any situation.
It may not be a stone, but it does represent, and signify many things in my life.

I wear an amethyst ring on each hand. These are for no reason other than they feel comfortable for me to wear, but any additional energy from the stones it welcome ;) and not so much a crystal or stone but I always wear my silver pentacle bracelet and necklace. On the same chain as the pentacle pendant I wear an Isis symbol and 1 Norwegian krone. I never take these off!

I always wear opals, I love their colors, they make me feel happy, energetic, comfortable, calm all at the same time, it’s like putting on pants, if you go out somewhere and forget to put some pants on your naked. That’s how I feel with my opals. Plus I guess it helps that my wedding ring is an opal.
But I also keep a bag of different kinds of stones in my car, for those just incase times.

I wear a combination of Amber and Turquoise.  Always brings me luck.  I won't go to a competition with it.  Since I am allergic to gold, it is all set in Sterling silver.

It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one who's allergic to gold. But for me I'm just allergic to yellow gold. I'm fine with white gold. Wander why?  :headscratch:

Me too!  I can wear white gold, or platinum, but no yellow gold.  My mother is the same.  I can wear only the most pure of silver.

I can't wear gold or silver. I usually wear surgical steel because of that.

I used to wear a hematite ring all the time, that one of my former boyfriends bought me.  I have it on my altar for rememberance, and may get my own hematite ring in the future.  I just feel awkward wearing it now, for I got a new boyfriend and I do not want to make an issue of it.

While in Afghanistan I was able to fine two sizable chunks of Lapis Lazuli, which I brought home with me.  They sat for years in a display with several other artifacts that I have collected over the years until one day while dusting, which I don’t do all that often, I had the urge to try and carve one of the stones.  What resulted was a lapis ankh in which I engraved a Wedjat (Eye of Horus).  I don’t know why I engraved it any more than I know why I carved the stone but it all felt right at the time.  Call it whimsical. I have worn it around my neck ever since.  I would never leave the house without it especially if I were going to work.  I consider it a part of my equipment no less important that the other tools of my trade.  When it is off my neck or I am cleansing it, it is no more than 3 feet from me at any given time.  I think I have probably worn it down somewhat from just rubbing it between my thumb and forefinger too often. 

Here’s a question though.  I have been cleansing the pendant either by sitting it on a bed of sea salt or by exposure to sunlight.  Lately, it hasn’t felt the same after cleansing.  Is there another way of going about it?  Am I doing something wrong, bearing in mind I have been using the aforementioned methods for years?  I know that there are others out there that are much more versed in the usage of gems and crystals than I and I seek your wisdom.

I too use a Lapis at times. It's a wonderful stone!
Many recommend washing in salt water, or a process of alternating hot and cold water but this has been known to damage the polish on Lapis and other methods are preferred.

The most effective method of cleansing any stone is to leave it in sunlight for up to an hour, the light of a full moon is just as effective, though more time is often required. Placing Lapis around a thriving plant will cleanse the stone and benefit the plant with it's energies as well. To keep the stone vital and alive with energy keep it away from anything with an electromagnetic field, avoid x-rays and strong contaminants such as perfumes and smoke.

Thank you alwaysnight.  I had heard about the plant thing once before, however, by virture of being a male, the terms thriving and plant do not coincide in my house unfortunately.  Perhaps I'll have better luck with one of the other methods mentioned.

There's always a cactus  :P

I know a lot of people use moonlight to cleanse gems and stones. A lot of people believe that the sunlight will charge the gem or stone and the moonlight cleanses.

Oh and Alwaysnight, those of us who are unfortunate to have a green thumb are quite capable of killing off cactus! I know, cause I did it!  :lol:

I constantly wear the Pagan ring Caitlin bought for me on my chain, I can't put it on because it is too big, but because it is the size it is It allows me to push certain stones in and out of it and holds them in place quite nicely. The stones I usually wear in this makeshift amulet are bloodstone, garnet, and tigers eye.

I know what you mean I killed one this summer by giving it too much water  :rolleyes:

I always wear a black Agate ring.
Everyone thats around me seems to be drawn to it so I ended up buying my two best friends one as well so we'd be in balance.
Also my class ring is a platinum band with 3 onyx stones set in.

I carry 3 gems on me at all times.
the first is an amethyst  pendulum used solely for locating spirits and "talking" to them.
the second was sort of a gift. its a pure quarts crystal ball, about the size of a racketball.
the third is a bloodstone which I carry for protection. hematite gives me headaches
