Aquilus Vampire and Pagan Forum

With Water Rose posting about Within Temptation, it got me thinking, this is a band I've heard of and have a few MP3's of, but I've never purchased a CD by them. What I have heard so far, I really, really like.  And I have some gifts cards from Christmas that are burning a hole in my pocket!  :P So, what CD would you recommend to someone who is relatively new to Within Temptation?

Bitter sweet is a really good album.  At least I enjoyed it.  But then again I enjoyed all of them.  Bitter Sweet was the first one that I bought though.

Bitter Sweet is a good start one with, I'd have to agree.

I may have to check them out also. Sounds like an ultra cool band.

That's really interesting...on the bands official site there's no album listed as Bitter Sweet, nor is there any album/cd listed on Amazon as Bitter Sweet. You guys sure you have the right band?

Oops I bought the album in Europe where it was called Bittersweet II.  By the looks of it in North America it's' called Mother Earth.  The Silent Force is another EXCELLENT album.  You might want to check that one out too.  Have you heard of Nightwish.  The earlier stuff with Tarja Turunen is amazing.  Her voice is so powerful and haunting.  When I first heard her sing I was immediately hooked.  She's a very beautiful woman too.  Europeans have all the luck  ;D.

I've heard the name, but not sure I've heard any of their music. Oh and thanks, I was really confused last night looking for that CD! lol

Hmm...I downloaded (*ducks*) most of the Within Temptation that I have.   One of the albums is listed as Bittersweet.   Huh...I'm going to have to go over their albums again.   :eek3

I have never heard of them so thanks for the link. I listened to there samples and I like it!!! Now I have another CD to buy.

Yea I liked them. I need to buy their CD if I can find it out here in the boonies. If not I guess I can get it online.

Like wise here. Mother Earth was an awesome CD, but I did like Silent Force better. I have their entire discography. I don't have anything by the name of Bittersweet. Maybe it was a European release only. I have a couple of old David Bowies that were only released in Britian.

As for Nightwish, they rock! I highly recommend watching this one. It's one of my favorites! I only wish I could hit a high C like she does!

I figured out what it was.

Somehow, one of my folders got corrupted.  Instead of it saying the Mother Earth file, it said Bittersweet.   But there is one song by them by that title.   This computer can be such a pain sometimes.

I like them a lot :) I also agree that I like Nightwish a lot too! Both great bands  ;D

I love Within Temptation and Nightwish.  Both bands are awesome.
