Re: More remakes of classic horror movies..

The company now has remakes of "Near Dark," "The Birds," "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Friday the 13th" in various stages of development.
I cannot even bear to think about them ruining Near dark or Nightmare on Elm street, I'm gutted. Sad

Oh come on.....Wasn't Nightmare on Elm Street up to 14 or 15.  Hell there was more Freddy movies than Rockey movies.  Oh and don't mess with Hitchcock.  Leave my birds alone..... Angry

6 actually if you don't include New nightmare, but the fact is the first film was amazing and should not be touched. I wish they would pick on the films that really need a remake.

Have to agree heartily here. Perhaps eventually some insightful and creative genius in the Hitchcock spirit will set a new standard for film making that will catch on bringing out some new ideas. I'm beginning to think that many are trying to remain where they think its creatively safe instead of breaking new ground. Who's to say really.

Peace>
