Grammar and Excessive foul language:
We ask that all members do their best when posting in the forum or making comments on the site. All post should be in English. This is for the benefit of our friends whose primary language is not English. Many of these people will use translators on the site and cell phone text speech (such as such as:  u, b, b4, ur,) just does not translate correctly. If you need help with spelling and grammar, you may use our spell check option available or you may download one of these:  If you use Internet Explorer, you can download IESpell I use this one myself and absolutely love it! For Firefox you can either search for an add-on or install this one: Spellbound Or the latest versions of Firefox has a spell check already in place, if you turn it on. We ask that you please be considerable of others and not use excessive foul language on this site. Excessive meaning, every other word or every paragraph containing foul language.

Bashing/Trolling/Flame Wars
Bashing of all religions and different belief systems, is prohibited on these boards. Everyone comes from a different walk of life, do not insult someone by tearing apart their beliefs or deity/deities. Please refrain from bashing or purposely starting flame wars and arguements. If this happens these posts will be removed. If it continues to happen the administrators will take the appropriate action.  Also, please refrain from political commentary on our forums.  Trolling and/or attempting to bait others into a flame war will not be tolerated. Any posts we deem to fall in this category will be deleted.

Threads that are created with the sole purpose of providing negative commentary towards the actual person/persons other sites or communities are not permitted. If you wish to critique a public figure, make sure your comments are constructive and reasonable. These principles also apply to signatures, avatars, and the like.

Poetry/Short Stories
We have a section on the site called "Dark Quills" where members may submit poetry and writings. Please do not post your personal writings in our boards.

Vampire Discussions
Aquilus.net does not endorse nor support any of the following actions/claims when discussing real vampires or vampirism:

-Physical immortality.
-The act of being “turned/sired/embraced” by another “vampire” through the transmission of blood.
-Physical growth of elongated fangs.
-Piercing of the flesh via the mouth/fangs.
-Violent acts of attack of any human/animal for the consumption of blood.
-Mythological associations with destruction of one’s self by sunlight, garlic, holy water, crucifixes, etcetera; ancestral claims to the mythological/legendary Dracula, Vlad Tepes, Elizabeth Bathory, or any fictional characters from films, books and/or games.
-Exceptional traits such as: transformation into mists/vapors/bats, absence of pulse, and/or increased physical strength beyond that of legitimate human capacity.
-Vampire vs. Lycan wars
- Consumption of raw meat or dead animal blood. This is entirely dangerous and can be fatal.
- Self feeding. Some individuals have been known to do this to satiate cravings. If you are deficit in energy, there is no benefit to be gained by consuming your own blood.

Otherkin, Therian, Werecreature
We are not an Otherkin site. We deal specifically with Vampires and Vampirism. We do not allow discussions on Otherkin or Therians, etc.. in our forums, simply for the fact that we do not have enough knowledge on these topics.

Suicide, Self Harm, Self Mutilation, Cutting
We do not allow any form of discussions on suicide, self harm, self mutilation or cutting. These are all topics that require professional guidance and help. Posting on these subjects will get your posts/topics deleted immediately and you will be contacted by an admin and given a warning. If it continues or theres an argument on the subject, you will lose your posting privileges for 14 days. We urge you to seek out help. Here are some valuable links that we feel will be of great service to you.

Dear Members:

We've gone through our forum policy and membership policy and altered both a bit from the previous version. Please be sure to read it and the Membership guidelines.

Neither policy hasn't changed a great deal, a few things were removed and few things were added together, just to make the policies more easily understandable and a lot easier to remember.

I'm bumping this up for a reminder to our new members. We are not like some other sites where we encourage or entertain mythical aspects of real vampires such as immortality or turning/embracing. We are a real vampire site, however, when we use the term "real vampire" we are referring to humans with an energy deficiency! Not something from outer space, or some being who has a virus, or some mythical powers.

Anyone found hinting at the thought of physical immortality or embracing, turning or non-mortal vampires, will immediately get their posts deleted! And possibly be banned for not following policy. We will not entertain any type of mythical ideas when it comes to real vampirism. Nor will we entertain ideas such as a the V5 virus.

If you want believe in such things, then possibly this not the site for you. Which is perfectly fine, there are sites out there that will entertain those ideas, where you may fit in better. However, this site will never be one of those sites and it's considered rude for you to try and force those ideas on to us. We simply will not argue this, we'll just delete your post and be done with it.

Please review our rules below:

Also, I would like to remind our new members about this rule:

Otherkin, Therian, Werecreature
We are not an Otherkin site. We deal specifically with Vampires and Vampirism. We do not allow discussions on Otherkin or Therian, etc.. in our forums, simply for the fact that we do not have enough knowledge on these topics.

This Otherkin rule simply means, do not discuss it on our boards.

(Please note: These rules apply throughout the site, not just the forum!)
