I find cooking to be very grounding.

Thanks for posting that information I find it useful since I have been looking into Kitchen Witchcraft. I've also found Garlic seems very banishing of negativity. I am attracted to Garlic a lot, actually. In reading Dracula, is that a myth that Garlic actually repels vampires? Would this possibly have been used to prevent these "Hag Attacks" which were confused to be Vampires as well. Perhaps there is some aromatic quality in the herb that banishes nightmares or stimulates you to prevent sleep paralysis?

Dracula was written in the 1800's by Bram Stoker.  The protective properties of garlic have been around longer than Dracula's fiction has.  There was no confusion, only capitalism at work.  Myths of garlic warding off negative entities have been around for a long tome and and Stoker only incorporated it into his book.

To the OP: Thanks for posting.  I'm slowly becoming more and more interested in Kitchen Witchery, thanks in part to Scott Cunningham's work. Smiley

I find that whatever mood you are in cooking is great. If your mad you can pound on some meet to take of that anger or when your in a good mood baking something sweet is always good.  It can be very relaxing and everyone has to eat.
