There's an issue that appears to be growing on this site and in this forum that needs to be addressed.
We have a no spamming rule that has been in effect for awhile, but has gone un-noticed or ignored.
We have several options for advertising your site or your work on this site. We have a
Link Exchange or a
Banner Exchange that members as well as guests are welcome to partake of. But lately we are seeing people join our community just to spam our forums with their links to their sites or projects. This needs to stop, it's considered spamming. It's rude for a new member to join this site and just post links or just advertise your projects. Most do not even bother to post an introduction on our site first. Which is a requirement for being a member here.
If you are not an active member here or have not been approved by a staff member to post your link or advertise your project (You need to ask first!), all links to your project or any form of advertisement in your post will be removed or the entire topic will be deleted.
Nine times out of ten the member will post their link and not even offer a return link to our site on their project.
As of right now, we have two approved members to post topics on their projects. Their projects are vampire related and of interest to members of our community. These members have also linked back to our site on their projects.
Also be aware the following rule has been in place as of day one of this site opening:
Targeting members for advertising other sites. We ask that you please do not spam the private messaging system for the sole purpose of advertising your site. We have a Links directory on this site. Place your link there.
Anyone found spamming our private messages with a link to their site or project or advertising their project, will immediately be banned.
We also discourage advertisement of other projects on the behalf of other members.
We also have a rule about links in signatures:
Signatures:
Members may also use a signature tag, you cannot use HTML however you can use BBCode.
If you place a link in your signature, it can only be a link to
your site! And only two links! Any broken links will be removed.
If you place a link in your signature, we require a link back to our site somewhere on your site.
These rules will be strictly enforced.
