It certainly must make those who make the policies for these schools and universities increasingly nervous and self-concious to make sure it doesn't happen under their noses.

Kudos to that! You've seen School of Rock (that Jack Black movie)? The principal of the elementary school is like that because others outside the institution are so demanding of their idea of perfect teaching. It's ridiculous. However, I do agree with everyone that this is not completely unfounded suspicion... all it takes is a bad apple, and there goes freedom.
