At one time or another we have shared our awakening experiences with someone or we have gone to websites and read people's awakening experiences. However, have you ever noticed that and more and more people are saying they never went through an awakening per say? That they have always been aware or aware that they are different then others? Then finally they happened to stumble upon some information about real vampyres and realized there was a name for it.
So with that I have a couple of questions:

Do think everyone has to go through an awakening to realize they are vampyric?

Do you think it's possible that for some people they have always been aware of their condition?
And would you consider this as an individual whose always been awaken?

I hope I was clear with this, it's something I've been pondering for awhile now and would like some feedback on it and your thoughts.

To me, awakening just happens. There isn’t a choice when, where, why or how it happens, it just simply does. It is only though the individual’s acknowledgement of their own awakening that determines when a person realizes their new trait. Some notice it immediately before others around them do or vice versa.

So I believe everyone goes through an awakening, but to realize they are something is different about them today they need to acknowledge it. Now whether they accept the condition or not, that’s up to the person; which leads me up to your second question.

If the awakening happens when they are born, then I do feel it is possible to have awakening and somewhat of an awareness even though the person might not know how to define it.  Also by their perspective of linear time, it would appear to them that they have always been awakened since they cannot remember a time that they didn’t have the trait.

Thanks for answering this Rosetta.  Smiley  It's my personal belief that people may be aware of the condition or that they are different then others and realize it very early on in life possibly in childhood, but may not understand the condition completely. Once they become more aware that there's other's like them out there and there's a word for what they are doing, maybe that would be their version of an "Awakening".

Thanks again for responding.

I think it is possible for a person to know that there is something very different about themselves from a young age, yet not know what. I know I though I was truly losing my mind. I had no access to anyone who was like me, and the closest I could come was vampire books and movies. I knew though, that they were in great part fantasy, so it was very confusing.

It was a revelation when I finally met others like me.

At which point do we say I was truly awakened? Was it when I knew I was different, or when I met others that could help guide me? Was it when I first started feeling "symptoms" or when I accepted myself for what I am? It is hard for me to pinpoint an exact time, so when asked how long I have been awakened, I generally tell them the approximate time that it has been since I accepted it and stopped fighting against my own nature.

Actually I think many of us go through many awakenings over our lifetimes.

I don't know if that helps. Smiley

I do feel that it can happen in stages. It doesn't have to be an epiphany or something you've always known. There are many grey areas.

For me, it was a very gradual realization. Kind of like being a lesbian and not knowing what a lesbian was...being a vampire is just as important, if not even more, as truly realizing your sexuality or spiritual path. And effecting you on so many different levels, it's no wonder why it has taken myself and others so long to become even partially aware of themselves. You begin to notice when your body changes, your spirit, your energy and aura. It's very deep. As Deep as greeting in touch with your chi.

Peace to all of you. Stay aware of yourselves and others. Communication is key

I have known since I was small that I was different. I have always known that I needed a little something more to keep going on a daily basis. I would get this energy from friends and family. Later on in life I began to understand and learn more about it and how to receive it in more acceptable ways. Not just take take take. I have also learned how to balance my energy so that I don't become drained as often. So I think for me it is a growing process and always will be. I have always known that I was different and have always known what to do. I just didn't know that there were others and that my needs for energy had a name.
Also, being an Empath has helped me to understand how to balance my energy.

I have to admit, I looked at it very much that way when I was just coming to my realization of being a vampire. I thought about certain so called symptoms that are associated with vampires and would think that I had known something was off or different all along but not known what.
I consider awakening to be the period of time that one just comes to terms with, or comes to the realization of their vampiric nature. However, I also tend to think that there are evolutions within each individual that are part of the awakening process.
