Fine way of explaining it Sir.

I do find myself at a constant struggle as of late, yet I do always take into consideration that I am still going through an awakening. But it is something that is quite flustering when you are in a place where you cannot do anything about your symptoms, except for looking forward to satisfying yourself later. ^_^

I agree, it is easy to get flusterd, but one's awakening is no bed of roses. Epecially when you discover that you are a vampire with ADHD, its just one more thing I have to deal with.

That is one reason sites such as this are good. People need support when going through this.

Are you at the begining, that you seek the end?

Ditto. It's still amazing for me to even conceive of a site where people can calmly and rationally help each other in this process.

I've always been considered a little strange and very quiet as a child, but when I left my pro-religious home to find my own path, BAM... a rather... rude, I thought... Awakening. Everything changed within a week, and some things are still changing. This vampiric life is almost completely opposite to my childhood and adolescent life. For twenty years I felt secure, and now I feel like I can't trust much, even what I've learned before. This will be my second summer (Baby-Bat haha), and sometimes it's just frustrating. So I'm very thankful for this site and for these people (and my boyfriend, who knows and who is very patient with me).

Anyways, specifically about Awakening, it all seemed very chemical to me... and even felt chemical. Something triggered the chain of reactions, and the fire kept traveling through the physical body, and even entering other levels of the self and of life.

It's very possible that someone can experience something in their life that resonates so deeply with themselves that it touches the "vampiric cord", if you will, causing these "chemical reactions" to take place. Even at a very young age. Now being born Awakened.. well... I'm thinking scientifically, and I have to mull it over. But I'm sure it's simple. Everyone gave very rational responses.

Vampirism, being a natural thing (or at least that’s what I think), could very well be caused by chemicals within the body just as most other natural bodily functions are. So (thinking out loud) one cause for a vampire awakening could be the buildup of the "vampiric chemical" as well as outside influences. Some vampires could be born with more of the vampiric chemical and thus awaken sooner and more quickly learn what it is they need to sustain themselves.

If the vampiric chemical does exist it could, in theory, be scientifically proven. However most scientists would not consider taking on this study for fear of losing their status or funding. This is similar to what holds back scientific research into other so called mythical things, such as Bigfoot.

This is just my take on a possible scientific explanation of awakening.

That's an interesting theory, master. Surely though there could be tests done, yet hiding behind another more socially acceptable cause... ideally at least, heh. But that's probably more a movie thing X)

I guess my theory has a bit in common with the movie Ultra Violet but in that movie it was a virus.

Yeah, I thought it was the least "hokey" of most vampire movies, which gained points for respect in my opinion (plus she's such a badass).

But I agree with your theory though. I just want to see it done, lol.

I have a question on the bodily Awakening. It seems like the "main" traits changed within the first week- for me it was food rejection, sun sensitivity, and nocturnal vision and biological clock. The next year was spent balancing these things, plus a heightened sense of the energies around me. This year my energy levels seemed to explode, and sometimes I get irrational, really emotional, angry, etc. I'm also experiencing that my magic-working is different- I don't have to do much except send the energy the way I want it to and it's accomplished, end of story. I'm starting to pick up books on Yoga and Chakra to help me.

My question is: Is it like this for anyone else? Do traits and abilities grow with the years? What are your experiences (if you would like to share)?

I do feel that it can happen in stages. It doesn't have to be an epiphany or something you've always known. There are many grey areas.
I agree. I also think that it can be like delayed if you want to say. Just like everybody has delayed stages like in puberty
