Driving home from work I go along the E-way. And whenever I get to a certain 4 way stop there is this huge billboard with a quote from "God". Now I cannot remember the exact quote.. but it is very upsetting to me because the of the fact that there is supposed to be a separation of church and state in the U.S. Also, there are many God's... it's just very irritating that that one Church in particular assumes that everyone will take it as the Christian God..

I've lost my train of thought..

I cannot actually pinpoint the exact reason of why it upsets me to see it....
Sorry this isn't very clear. I just had to rant.

Just please keep in mind that we do not allow bashing of any religions and that politics is not allowed at all on the forums. This just insures that no toes are stepped on and that things remain civil, especially when politics is involved.  Wink

Now I have to admit I have seen some odd billboards. As a matter of fact I saw one that was right next to a billboard soliciting a strip club. But back to what you where saying, that billboard is not a matter of church and state that is freedom of speech.

There is an adult bar here in town with a huge sign out front. Directly underneath it is a smaller sign for a totally separate business.  The funny thing about the whole scenario is that the bold print on the smaller sign read, Now hiring, your mother would be proud. Now imagine your self driving down the road at highway speeds.  Basically all you see is the strip club, now hiring, your mother would be proud.  EEK! Laughing

(Sorry it's taken me so long to respond)
And but of course, I would never bash any religion, that was not my intention when posting this. Cheesy

-Ohh and I figured out why it bothers me so much. It's as if they're advertising Christianity, the other billboard about 1 mile afterwards is for Burger King!!   ...

 Smiley...

Ohh and I do enjoy that strip clubs angle. Quite amusing!!
