Yes BobbyT, its a long story but, it does have a special meaning to me even the parlor where it was done added to that.

Cool. The ink with personal meaning is the best.

I only have my ears pierced and my left nostril, although I plan on getting my tragus and naval pierced as well.  I'm also thinking of a tattoo or two, but sadly, those will have to wait a few years.

I couldn't agree more with you on that one.

I only have my ears pierced and I just can't think of anything else I'd like to pierce. I've thought about it but then I consider the fact that I haven't actually worn earings in a few years, except on special occasions, then I think 'why spend the money' (I am way too practical)

As for tattoos. Well it's taken me this long to even think of where I want a tattoo and the image that I want is swirling in my head. Once I figure out what it will be I'll have to draw it out and it will take time to perfect it. If I am going to tattoo my entire back then it better be perfection or nothing at all.

On a side note, I've designed a few cool tattoos for characters in my books. Once I find them I'll take pictures and post them for people to see.

I do enjoy seeing other people's tattoos though and hearing the various stories behind them, that interests me a great deal.

I have a few ear piercings (which I did myself).
I want to get a tattoo of an ankh, but I want it done by a friend who is in St. Louis. That is going to have to wait until I can get the money to get there (I live in Michigan).
The Ankh holds special meaning for me, and always has, and having it done by someone I care about would make it even more special.

I was thinking of a fairie or pixie sitting on a sunflower, but I might not get it, because of my experience with needles.Okay the first time I got a flu shot I was told to laugh so I would feel. Unfortunately I gave a new meaning to "I laugh so hard I cried". Picture this eight year old walking out of  the doctors' office with a smirk, and tears.LOL. Even if I decide to go through with the pain, it would have to wait.

I have my ears pierced. As for ink, I have 5 tattoos. My husband is an artist, so I get my work for free.

I have a unicorn and castle on my right calf. I have a red rose on my left thigh. My left upper arm has an arm band of two stone dragons. My right upper arm is a partial sleeve with a fairy, flowers, and a dragon with butterfly wings. The biggest piece is my back. It's Hogwarts castle at night with the owl flying over the moon, and Dumbledore and the pheonix at the bottom. That last one isn't done yet. We still have to color it in. There is over six hours of work in the outline alone.

Wow Angel! That's a lot of ink. I would love to see some photos of your tats.

I just got my first tat on Saturday.  It is the Eye of Ra on my right shoulder all in black except for the pupil of the eye is in emerald green.  My boyfriend is already helping me plan expansion of it and we've also come up with two other tats for me.  All have special meaning to me.  Neither one of us believe in getting a tat just to get one.  If you are going to permanently mark yourself with ink, it should be one that is one that means something to you.
