June 20, 2008 -- Scientists relishing confirmation of water ice near the surface beside NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander anticipate even bigger discoveries from the robotic mission in the weeks ahead.

I thought this was an excellent discovery, it really makes me think about the supposed trace fossils they found in that Martian rock a while back...it seems that there may be more evidence for possible "alien" life at least in the past...

In the spirit of getting posts up I thought I would share this and hopefully spark some discussion from all members. Smiley

From what I've read recently NASA has been dancing around the idea of fossil or even living micro life on Mars. I think we'll know what their speculating within the year.
