I just want to say Happy 4th of July to all of our American members. Anyone have anything fun planned?

I'm just happy we have a 3 day weekend! 

Nothing planned. Just going to play it by ear. I agree about the 3 day weekend.. it'll be nice!

A happy/safe 4th to everyone

I have nothing planned except trying to sleep through the firecrackers.

 

 

Ohh yes.. that and the loud drunk inhabitants on my apartment complex!!

My city is really screwed up! Usually fireworks are suppose to happen on the 4th right? Well many years, the 4th has landed during the work week, so they would do the fireworks the night before the 4th. I always thought it was because of where on the calendar the 4th landed. I could understand not having fireworks after 10:00 then have most people getting up and going to work the next day. Well this year, instead of paying attention to the fact that the 4th was on a Friday, they still scheduled the fireworks for tonight, instead of tomorrow night!  I thought that was so stupid! Many people who work nights, have to work tonight and get tomorrow night off.

So I decided to say to hell with it, and I'm going to watch the fireworks on TV from New York and Boston. I think we're going to BBQ some chicken and corn on the cob. But that's really it. Oh and maybe stand out on the deck and watch all people around me who went down to Missouri and illegally purchased fireworks and light them off.

I think three day weekends are a perfect opportunity to catch up on sleep.

We are actually not going to work and enjoy the 3 day weekend. Of course I am still getting paid for it even though I am not working.

If it doesn't rain I will probably take the kiddos some where to watch fire works. Or watch the idiots in the neighborhood injure themselves.

I don't plan on doing much, just relaxing like everyone else. All I know is their is a possible tropical storm headed here (man I just love Florida weather), but I won't let that spoil the fun. They decided to cancel classes on Friday and Saturday, so I have a 3 day weekend too 

Word of advice for everyone, DON'T LIGHT ANY FIREWORKS OFF IF YOU HAVE BEEN DRINKING! 

Although I'm not an American, I think I'll just join you guys, roll the BBQ out, get drunk and light some firework. I mean, sounds like a good way to spend a Friday.
