I wanted to share some of my thoughts/theories on aliens. and get some feedback from everyone.

First, I feel the universe is too vast for us to be the only intelligent life. The level of that intelligence is currently unknown. It could be at the same level as we here on Earth are. Possibly it could be less advanced. But the most popular line of thinking is that there is intelligent life out there far older and vastly more advanced than the humans inhabiting the Earth. This leaves a few possibilities.

The advanced beings could be just slightly more advanced. Meaning, they may have mastered inter stellar travel, but not much more than that. They would have weapons similar to ours, and communications technology either equal to our own. Or 5-10 years ahead of us. This would fit in with the alleged abductions that take place. They alien species is not advanced enough to outright conquer us. So they study us and our technology. More than likely doing so using small teams consisting of their version of military special forces escorting a small group of scientist. One of their tactics could be flying their craft in a manner which makes them hard to describe in a report as to make the witness seem less credible.

Next is the best possible scenario. The intelligent life out there is advanced millions of years beyond us. But more importantly they are also spiritually advanced far beyond us as well. In this case, the advanced beings will watch us. Helping out discretely along the way. Until our development reaches a point where they can reveal themselves to us. Then begin teaching us to live in a more harmonious manor with ourselves, and with the rest of the universe. And advance our technology as we shed our violent warring ways for a more peaceful way of life.

The last possibility is the most terrifying. A race of beings millions of years of life who have no regard for what they consider primitive or unintelligent. In their eyes, we would be seen in the same manor which we view ants carrying flecks of dirt to build an ant hill. We don't try to teach the ants to be more spiritual, nor do we show them how to build a better home. Most of the time we kick over the ant hill, squash the ants invading our kitchens. We don't guide chickens along influencing their development. Humans raise chickens on huge farms to be turned into meals at fast food restaurants. So the advanced beings would see us. As just another animal. Our cities, ant hills to them. At best they would not give us a second look. At worst, we would be treated like the ants and chickens. They may hold up the giant inter galactic magnifying glass and burn us. They may harvest us and deep fry us. Possibly we could be put to work doing menial labor. Much like how we used to put heavy loads on pack mules. If they were to want to the remaining natural resources of our planet, they could simply bombard us from space. Most likely using weapons which would wipe out all life without damaging anything of material value. Or take a slightly more destructive approach and hurl asteroids at us completely devastating the surface of the Earth.

No matter which scenario turns out to be the right one, it is only a matter of time before we find out.

I could go with all theories on this. Truth is we just don't know what exactly is really out there. There are alot of us who have seen things we can't explain. Throughout my life I have seen things in the sky I can't explain. One night me and my ex were coming home from a vacation and we both saw the same thing. A bright light hovering in the sky and every way we went it followed. I told the girls at work about this (I didn't really believe it was a UFO, maybe just a trick of the eye) and they all said they have seen things in the same area. Not what I expected. I remember a few years back there were some accidents on the one highway ramp because alot of the drivers saw the same thing. And I admit, when I was a child I was terrified of being abducted!!!!

I agree, the universe is too vast for us to be the only form of life. Even in our solar system I find it hard to believe there isn't some other living creature out there.

I like this theory:
Quote
One of their tactics could be flying their craft in a manner which makes them hard to describe in a report as to make the witness seem less credible.
That would make sense, since most sightings are always written off.

One of my thoughts is that if there are aliens that they aren't like us in form. They probably look like something we would have never imagined. We only know what we have seen and heard and I am sure there are things out there beyond our imagination.

Another thought, the last part had said:

We could be doing the same thing on other planets and not even know it. There could be microscopic life forms on Mars that we don't even realize are alive and we are over there digging around and taking pictures. Like I said with the aliens looking like something we could never imagine, maybe there is a form of life out there and we don't realize it's alive. Kind of like a tree. If we didn't know what a tree was and weren't aware they grew taller and wider over the years or lost their leaves and grew new ones once a year, would we think it's a life form? Proably not. Not if we've never seen one before. It doesn't breath or move.........

That's basically how I feel.
