This past weekend members of the LGHS were invited to participate in a private investigation of the abandoned Mansfield Reformatory located in Mansfield, Ohio. The event was put on by my good friend Juli Valasquez of Paranormal Underworld. For those unfamiliar with it, Mansfield Reformatory is where the movie Shawshank Redemption was filmed. Being a prison, one which was shut down due to overly cruel treatment of prisoners combined with the prisoners quarters deemed too small, there are countless reasons for the building to be haunted. The building is available for tours on a daily basis, and there are public overnight ghost hunts if anyone ever wants to go check it out themselves.
http://www.mrps.org/We met up some friends from different states to do the investigation. The LGHS brought a thermal camera and some new experimental gear we are trying out. Through the course of the night different people were touched and poked. My good friend Rob Johnson had his nose cut. The reason for this is undetermined. There are only 2 possible ways it could have happened. 1, a bat flew close enough to him to actually cut it. 2, an entity threw something at his nose hard enough to cut. We just don't know. The flashlights were out so he never saw it coming, just felt it. We saw shadow apparitions, caught some, including a black mass on the thermal.
I took two cameras. One set up for ghost hunting, the other on a tripod to shoot the building. Here are few shots from the building.

hereWhile we were there, the LGHS was presented with certificate of recognition by the people putting on the event. We were recognized for the work we do in the paranormal field, and everything we do to help out the paranormal community. The entire group, myself included, was very honored by this.
