Part 6 of Taken on SciFi.  It's a really good scifi movie, I must admit.
Here's a synopsis from Amazon.com: Taken spans five decades and four generations, centering on three families: the Keys, Crawfords, and Clarkes. World War II veteran Russell Keys is plagued by nightmares of his abduction by aliens during the war; the Roswell incident transforms Owen Crawford from ambitious Air Force captain to evil shadow government conspirator; the unhappily married Sally Clarke is impregnated by an alien visitor. As the decades go by, the heirs of each are affected by the machinations of the aliens, culminating with the birth of Allie Keys, who is the final product of the aliens' experimentation and holds the key to their future.

I'd love to have this on DVD, but it's over $100.00!  EEK!

Taken is awesome. It's long but the length is worth it as the story has the time to be told the way it should be.

Since I am playing catch up on movies, the last 2 I watched were Terminator 3 and the Illusionist.

Yeah, if you watch Taken in one setting, it's like 20 hours long! LOL
I went this weekend and bought a few movies, that I've been wanting to see.
I bought Moulin Rouge, which I've seen quite a few times, it was on sale at Target for $7.50, so I couldn't pass it up. Also, I bought The Nativity, Eragon and Children of Men.

The Nativity was better then I expected. It even had some pagan references in it with the Magi (Wise men) and the star of Bethlehem. Eragon was pretty good too. I heard people who have read the books said it was awful, but since I haven't read the books, I enjoyed the movie. However, it was quite obvious in the movie where they had skipped quite a bit. The story line could have been a little better, but over all, it's was an entertaining movie and good special effects.

Children of Men takes place in the year 2027 in England. It's kind of an apocalyptic film, all women are unable to have children and it's been 18 years since a baby has been born and the women who is pregnant needs to reach a safe place for her and her baby that's about to be born.  Clive Owen, Juliana Moore and Michael Caine are in the movie. It's quite good, but very disturbing, I watched this film right before I went to bed last night, it really made me think about our future and where we are headed.

I watched The Illusionist a few weeks ago. What did you think of it Bobby?

I liked it. Wasn't the same old movie, remake of a movie, or movie made from a TV show. Good story that kept you guessing up to the end. And I loved the way the story wrapped up at the end.

Actually I have seen a great many movies recently, in the last two days I have seen the DVD version of Haunting Desires, which was so badly edited to get it an R-rating it was ruined from the original version (haven't the distributor's heard of PG-13?) such a pity.
Also I have seen Shadow of the Vampire, and Electra.
Before that it was What The BLEEP Do We  Know?, Bloodrayne, Galaxy Invader( a Film that genuinely makes Plan 9 From Outer Space look like Gone With the Wind) and Dracula 2000.
I am looking forward to Underworld Evolution, I really do like to see clever new variations on the old themes.

I watched The Prestige and V for Vendetta. Both were great. I loved the character V. This movie will probably find it's way into my collection.
