Dear Members and Guests,

We have decided for the security and comfort of our members to make the majority of our boards closed off to guests and members who are not logged in to their account while viewing the forum. In order to view most of the boards, you need to either: a) Login to your account. Or b) Become a registered member of our community.

The following boards are open to guest for reading purposes only.

Forum Rules and Guidelines
Dark Crypt
The Crypt
Laugh it up
Oddities
Quizzes and Polls
Books
Movies
Music
Gaming Corner
TV

We felt this was necessary to make our community a welcoming and close knit group where our members feel comfortable being themselves and sharing ideas and experiences without the rest of the world looking in.

I think that's a great idea because of the sensitive nature of some of the subject matter. Smiley

Just a quick note. When viewing a topic, you might see up at the top who is viewing the topic. At some point, it may say "Guest".

What is happening is that a guest or a bot such as Yahoo or MSN or Google is going through the forum and clicked on the topic, but because they are not logged in, they can't see the actual topic. They are only getting a screen that's asking them to login. But the forum software is recognizing them as actually reading the topic, when they are not.

Just wanted to make that clear.
