Like I said before in the topic "Which Gods and Goddesses do you feel more 'in-tune' with?" I feel that I am more in-tuned with the Celtic edge, Gaia and Epona are my main. But I have worked with others in the past. I chose these goddesses because, Epona I love horses and I am into dream work. The more I researched her the more I liked who she was and what she stood for. Gaia, I chose because I am very much into nature things.

I did however have 2 dreams that I can remember where Epona visited me. Each time she was delivering an important message. I write down most of my dreams, so that I don't forget the important messages.

Anubis. The Mortuary God.

I was unfortunate enough to have a near death experince. I was lying on my hospital bed, surrounded by nurses and doctors and what not, slowly dying.

He came to me and gave me a choice. 'Come with me or go back. Either way you'll be OK'.

Guess which way I chose  Laughing

I would have to say without a doubt that Artemis is my Patroness. I was born with a crescent moon "scar" on the palm of my right hand. It has never faded, and I've been told by several different gypsies over the years that it means I was claimed by the Goddess before birth.

Her strength of Will and unwillingness to allow the domination of the patriarchal archetype has always been my rock. The men in my life haven't always been the best Undecided

Many people do not know that She is not only the Maiden, but the patroness of women in child labor. And the Great Bear, protector of young girls below marriage age.

I also truly believe that if it wasn't for Her, I never would have made it through my other three pregnancies. I definetly know that She was there with me when my son was brought into this world. It is because of Her that my labors have all been a breeze. None have been more than 30 minutes of hard labor! And I hope She will be there when this one arrives as well.

She truly has been there for me and I thank Her every day for Her guidance and protection.
My husband doesn't even mind the marble plaque I have of Her hanging over our bed. He says he sleeps better with it there. Which proves to me that She doen't hate all men as some would claim. Only those who would harm those She protects.

I feel closest to the moon goddess. Yes, I have experiences when contacting her.

Lugh, The Many Gifted Lord has garnered my attention since he's considered the communicator and historian of the Dannan.

Where Am I?

I am fortunate enough to have two Deities in my life which I would consider to be my favorites and I am closest to.

The first would be my beloved Matron Goddess, Pele. She and I have an unusual relationship, I felt her pulling her to me many years ago and I resisted at the time. Finally, perhaps out of curiosity, I allowed myself to  call back to her. Ever since she has been a guiding light in my life, showing me both love and tough love given the situation. She tends to try to help or comfort when she can, but if she feels I should deal with this alone or it is part of a greater purpose for me to deal with the situation alone she will abandon me. Most people fear her instability and do not truly see her as the loving mother she really is. She is both the Creator and Destroyer, the balancer. I feel privileged that she chose me to be a part of her experience and wisdom.

The second Deity I share a close relationship with is a Loa spirit named Ayizan, she is a very elderly and kind Loa who if you wish to join the ranks of ancestors as a Voudoun practitioner will evaluate yourself and either exclude you or welcome you to the Family as it were. When I gave myself up to the Loa, I made offerings to Ayizan I knew she would judge me and I did my best to honor her. I marked her Vever and then began to speak to her, I did this for about an hour before she spoke back. I felt the energy it was unlike anything else I had ever experienced and her energy engulfed me as most Loa do, mimicking a snake crushing its prey. She then asked me if I was in pain, I told her that I was uncomfortable and the energy loosened. I felt an embrace as if I was being held lovingly by a family member, she then told me to beware of others like her who will try to hurt, and feel free to call her. I practiced many nights calling her, perfecting my calling to the ancestors, and she came all but a few times. She even brought her husband on ocasion. This deity and I have a close bond and I am better off for it.

Those are my experiences. Good experiences.

Set [Egyptian] is the god I feel the most connection to.  He has come to me in my dreams.  For some reason I feel very close to him.
