We stopped at my wife's uncle's house in North Carolina on the way to Myrtle Beach. Due to us being mysteriously locked out of his house on the last visit we discovered that he thinks there is something residing in his house. His house is in the country and he only locks the doors when he travels. He had never told anyone about there possibly being a ghost in his home, not even my mother in law. Upon hearing this we told him that I am a senior investigator with the LGHS which sparked a long conversation. Fast forward back to last weekend. I took some of my gear and told him I would check his house out. He works third shift so he left for work. We set out to wash some clothes in his basement, wash the baby, and check out the house. My mother in law saw a black mass dart under the basement stairs but didn't tell me till the next morning. Unfortunately I got zero on all of my equipment. But shortly after my sweep of the house all of the power and the phone went out. Her uncle told us that the phone only goes out if a limb hits the line. So we checked, no limbs. Her uncle called the power company from work and we went about our evening. We decided to go to bed since nothing was turning up and the lights were out. When I awoke in the morning I discovered that my wife's wedding ring was placed on my back. It was on the kitchen counter when we went to sleep. She had forgotten to get it when the lights went out. So apparently whatever is in the house is smart enough to avoid my gear. And wanted to give me little sign that it is there. Then my mother told me about what she saw. I explained ot her that that is how entities appear a lot of times and that she actually saw it. Over all it was very cool. I will definitely have to go back and take more gear.

I get really really excited when I encounter real entities. So I was totally pumped when that happened. I plan on returning when I can and trying to take some of my team with me.

My weekend was great. I didn't work any of the investigation events for the convention. Instead I opted for dinner with some dear friends who were in town for the convention and of course pretty boy TV superstar Chris Flemming. Grin In all seriousness Chris is a great guy who takes his paranormal work very seriously and it was an honor to meet him. Just don't tell him I said that. He wouldn't let me live it down.

lol..
Bravery is being able to go forward even if afraid. It's not the absence of fear. (at least that's my opinion)

See my post above. LOL

I get really excited and chase after things. I've been touched, grabbed, had my back supported in Waverly Hills while I was kneeling to take a photo, and had things thrown at me. I have seen entities and ran after them. After talking with John Zaffis and a few other people I believe this is a calling in my life that I just overlooked in my wilder youth. And now that I live a different life I hear the calling.

Brave is John Zaffis. He still does this work even after facing off with the worst things out there.
