To be honest, I haven't seen any of them! lol
All I know is usually the sequals they make of some of these movies, the worst they get..lol

Hmmmm I'm guessing more gore but less story. The third one was ok but seemed to be more about trying to gross you out, shame really.

Some movies go for shock value and special effects over plot.  I see this in so many movies.

Not in this case. When I originally saw them I saw them backwards, meaning I saw the 3rd one first, then the 2nd, and then the 1st, lol! Yeah I know...Weird! Anyways, I can honestly say that all of these movies are awesome, though you really should see them in proper order first, lol, and they just get better and better.

I agree with LadyDragon.  Although I have not had the opportunity to see all of them, the ones that I did watch, I enjoyed. Grin

I honestly have not seen any of them, but after seeing one of my favorite bands has a song on their track, and seeing these positive reviews, I want to see it for myself now.  <_<

I personally loved all three movies, yes there is a lot of blood and gore, but the story line is still in there which I thought was great.
[ I am kind of in the middle on this on cause all the original people are gone.

I was wondering about that as well when I saw the previews for it, it just makes me wonder if they found any sort of way to actually continue on from the third one, I just think of all the possibilities, and it definitely makes me want to go see it when it comes out.

So I finally had a chance to go see the movie, and like the other movies I wasn't disappointed, I would definitely recommend seeing the first three before this one, or else you'll be completely lost throughout the movie.
I don't want to give any spoiler though its very tempting.
But to answer some questions, yes there is a story line, the bloodiness and gore I would say is about the same as the previous movies.
I thought it was was another very good movie, they found a way of connecting all four movies together, yes some parts were a little confusing, at least for me they were.
Definitely one to see if you've like the previous ones.

You know, I wasn't going to see it until I read your response Vicereine_of_Drac. I didn't see how there could be another one because of the way the last one ended. Now you have me curious and I think I'll give it a shot!

This probably violates a rule or something. But I have never seen any of the Saw movies.

You aren't missing much, I found them really really dull. All Gore, and little action. The only thing I enjoy about them are the head games it plays on you. I love this genre of movie but these ones in particular in my opinion aren't worth seeing.

As I said, I only saw the first one and I disliked it. I thought it was a waste of film myself. *shrugs*

Well I still have not seen it yet but I did find out that there will be a connection and not just running on its own, like I thought. I am ready!
