Maybe she meant Wicca instead of Witchcraft?

Well, the title of the thread is 'Different types of witches', so I figured she mean't Satanic witches Smiley

I don't believe you can be 'Wiccan' anything.  IE: Wiccan Christian, Wiccan Jewish, Wiccan Satanist or Wiccan Muslim.  Each religion has their own set of tenets/rules, and if both religions were to be combined, they would no longer BE that religion, or make sense, as the tenets/rules would contradict each other.

I agree.
Wicca is it's own religion and they don't believe in Satan.

Many seem to confuse Witches with Wiccans. That was what I was saying. Smiley

This resource, where this information came from is strictly a Wiccan site.
So considering that, the information when relating to the Wiccan faith is actually correct, they don't believe in the Christian concept of Satan.
When it comes to mixing religions or taking beliefs, ideas from different religions. I consider that more as being ecletic then actually putting a title like Wicca such and such on it. 'Eh, to each their own. I see no problem at all with people mixing their beliefs with other religions, it's what feels right to them and what works for them.

I agree completely, but, as you said, it would no longer be Wicca.  You couldn't call yourself Wiccan, or anything else, if you mixed your beliefs with another religion.  It would then become a 'hybrid' religion of your own invention.

Some Wiccans are Witches, And some Witches are Wiccan.

There are Wiccan Pagans and Pagan Witches.

Then there are people who are straight up just Wiccan, Pagan or Witch.

Ask 100 pagans and/or wiccans and/or witches, what pagnism/wicca/witchcraft (respectively) is...and you'll get 101 answers.

See my point?   It's subjective at best when it comes to traditions that work with magick.

Now I finally know a Kitchen witch doesn't bake enchanted casseroles
LOL! Oh you never know...a pinch of this, a pinch of that...  Wink

I think Emeril might be a Kitchen Witch in disguise. You ever watch when he throws essence in the pot and yells *bam*  Laughing

LOL Speaking as a Kitchen Witch, I am not above using an "enchanted casserole" occasionally. They work great for healing an entire housefull of sick children at once. And I can't be the only one in the 200 years of American history that's noticed the "magick" that goes on in kitchens everywhere on the holidays?

And I have to agree with Goth on this one: if you change a religion to suit you it is no longer the original religion. It becomes something totally different. Just as the intent of a spell can be changed by changing one ingredient or a few words of the incantion.
