Did anyone get a chance to watch this the other night on the History Channel?
What did you think of the "professionals" opinion on Nostradamus' prophesies?
Here's a link to the site for more information: http://www.history.com/minisite.do?content_type=mini_home&mini_id=56121

If any of these prophesies come true, our future is very dim!

I caught bits and pieces of it. Wasn't too bad. Course I am not of a fan of end of world stuff. Bugs me for some odd bs.

Yeah, I'm not usually too big on that stuff either Twisted. I don't watch those national disaster documentaries either. But I had to watch this one.

I'm not one that really follows Nostradamus. I'm one of those that run and look and see if he made any mention of something after it happens. lol
But I was sitting there anxiously awaiting the date the world will come to an end according to this book. I was quite surprised he came up with the same date as the Mayans, 2012. The only thing I question about the book is where it came from and who released it. According to the show the Vatican had the book at one time and if the information is correct, you would think someone in the Vatican would had to release it and that just seems strange to me.  The book makes it out or the professionals who were translating the book made it out like the Catholic church is more or less going to fall. Very dismal future for the Church. So why would they release a book that more or less spells out danger for the Church? The facts of where this book has been is a little sketchy. So, I do question it a bit. But it's very interesting none the less!

I question that as well... Seems a little shady, I think.

I think prophecy is a bit like a tarot reading. It points out strong possibilities based on the energies that are currently prevalent. But none of it is etched in stone. If I shift, so does my future. If humanity shifts, so does the course of world events. I'm all about creating my own path. I've often thought on the possibility that we may perceive free will when in fact any change in course that we make is in actuality following a path that is predestined. But self-determination is my story and I'm sticking with it.   Grin

Where Am I?

I have been fascinated with Nostradamus prophecy since a very young age, I believe 7 or 8 was when I watched my first documentary on the subject. I have seen this one, it wasn't the greatest but it was still informative and scholarly which I like. My opinions on the subject have changed with time but I do still fee that Nostradamus did see things which he did not undersand, and his understanding he had based on the time period in contrast with areas is open to many interpretations. I really believe we've probably found meaning in most of his work because we want meaning. I'm not saying he's wrong but his outlook on it was very different than ours. All in the same I did enjoy the show.
