Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse

Siddhartha, has been probably the most influential book I have ever had the privilege to read. I had to study the book in High school when I was younger. This book personally took me from a life of nonbeliever and atheism to embracing spirituality, Buddhism, and then Paganism.

For any one who is interested in eastern pathways this book is a absolute must! Rather than post a brief biography I managed to find a complete copy of the book free online (at least I believe it is complete thus far, I can't find my own copy to confirm). Although I would suggest that you buy a copy and read it outside...

You can find the book here: http://www.online-literature.com/hesse/siddhartha/

Please give it a chance and tell me what you think.

Many Blessings,
Nicholas

I read Siddartha years ago during a stay in Costa Rica. I was basically living in a horse pasture at the time. Complete with horses. I should give it another read, my literary life has been rather barren of late.

It is an excellent book. I really should go back and reread it...it's been a long time. Smiley

Re: Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse

I've been searching for my paper back copy since I posted this, I really wish I could find it. I feel it really helps me get in touch with my spirituality. I think I'm going to try to read the online version, I just don't want to strain my eyes focusing on the computer screen so intensely.
