A few weeks ago I think I had a spirit or entity of some sort in my house. I haven't seen it for maybe 2-3  weeks now. I did burn sage and walk throughout the house with it. Also, I made a circle with salt around my property.
I am wondering if there was just too much competition for energy in my house between me and the spirit that it has given up and left? I know I tend to drain energy easily from people and batteries and so forth and just now thought of this.
Don't spirits live off the energy of the people the haunt? Help me Bobby 

The most common theory is that entities are energy based beings and they need to draw more energy to do anything in this world, or this dimension. That is the common explanation for battery drain, equipment failure, etc. Now me being me, I have a different theory I have been working on. I believe that while the entities may drain energy, it is not from a battery. If they drain at all it would be from people. A battery in a camera, or a voice recorder just is not going to make the difference an entity would need to do anything. Not to mention if this was the type of energy entities needed, wouldn't they all be flocking to power plants and sub stations? I believe the equipment failure is a side affect just like a cold spot. The same as when an electro magnetic pulse occurs and equipment goes kaflooey. I have had cameras quit working, like the batteries were drained, and then work fine with the same batteries after the entity has moved on. So if an entity is draining power then it would be most likely from a person. Maybe something about the type of natural biometric energy given off by people as opposed to artificial energy created by batteries and power plants.

In Angela's case I feel that she is much stronger than the entity in her home. The sage and circle of salt were tools that she focused her energy and intent through to push the entity out of her home. Because of this I do not feel the entity can return angry. If it was strong enough it would not have been pushed out to begin with. The only possibility for it to return would be for it to bring other entities with it. Alone it is not powerful enough. As long as Angela does not want it there it can not return.

Interesting you brought this up. I have 3 entities living in my house:

1) Jenny: the former owner of the house, a kind old woman who still puts the hall light on like she always did. That is basically all she does, she'll put the hall light on. This happened a lot when my parents moved in especially, but now it is rare.

2) A pet like spirit: This entity stays close to the ground and is slow moving. I used to refer to is as a stupid entity because it tended to get trapped in corners of the house. However with some research I discovered that the 2 elderly women who owned the house before us had some dogs. One of which died. I believe this entity may be the dog.

3) The shadow person: As Bobby and a few others know, I have been tormented by shadow people most of my young life. The shadow appeared when I was a child and scared me. As I grew older it began to "Hag Attack" me. For this reason I now sleep with a pillow over my eyes just in case it happens again I won't have to see the shadow itself. It comes very rarely now but still has a devastating affect on me.

About the time when my Psi Vampireism manifested the Shadow left, and didn't feed from me for years. Now that I have very good control of my energy and those energies of my house the Shadow has began to come back. I do feel that when it is around I have to compete to feed. Usually I take small amounts at all times while I am unaware and this suits my need, but when the shadow entity is around I must take control of my feeding or I will not get enough. I have a few theories for this but mostly I believe the Shadow has learned to feed off my energy without "Hag attacking".

After a while I got so frustrated of the Shadow that I fed directly from it rather than the elements, and well it left. It still comes around but as soon as I feed it disappears. Now I believe it waits for when I am sleeping... I have no proof of this though.

Hag attack is the term given to sleep paralysis attacks. This is when you wake up and an entity has paralyzed your body. In my case I would be fully awake eyes open but unable to move my body, I would be able to see the shadow person in my room near my bed or looking over me in its three dimensional form. I'd was so terror stricken that I started to sleep with the lights on and covered my eyes so that if I was attacked I would not be able to see the shadow. That helped with there fear slightly. During these attacks I felt my energy being drained and when they stopped I would have to lay in bed and regain my strength for about 15 minutes before I could get out of bed.
