I have found that many vampires that can regonize each other ofen ask if you know what clan you come from. is there and validity to being asked about clans or is it something just stemming from some game.

I know many, many vampires, and as far as I know clans are only a result of games such as  Vampire the Masquerade.
There are Houses however, which is an entirely different thing.

Kinda thought so. I know my bloodline and its not something I share with others.
Where can I find more information on the houses?

There are many Houses around, all with slightly different views on things. Some are for PsyVamps and some for Sangs, some for both. If you do searches on Google you can find many of them.

Personally I have not cared for any that I have looked into because I do not care for the politics involved, but that is not to say all are like that. I simply had a few bad experiences that soured me on them.

You can also try finding reputable vampire sites and ask around.

Could you expand on this? Maybe explain?

Vampirism is something that has haunted my family for a few hundred years. I have done extensive research into my family history and tracked it all the way back to the 1400's of europe and russia.

Without talking to these ancestors, how do you know they were vampires, in the true sense?

I have not yet met any clans. I would very soon like too meet other clans in this area. I should try to trace my blood also. I do know that my blood goes back to Scotland in the 1600. The latter of them did have the last name Wallace. Thats all I know for now.

"Clans" only exist in the world of RPG. There are houses or covens that people are members of. But "Clans" no...
