Well it's almost here, 2008. This year has gone by rather fast for me. There were lots of things I didn't get done but will eventually do sometime this next year.

With that in mind does anyone have any resolutions for the new year? Anything new you would like to try or give up? Maybe change?

I have the same resolution that a lot of  Americans have every year, lose weight and stop smoking. I'm been unintentionally getting help with my smoking, between being broke and cigs being ridiculous expensive here and now with me having a terrible cold. My immediate resolution is to get rid of this damn cold and feel better!  I'm sick

Happy New Year's everyone, I hope you have a better one then me!

Hey that sounds good so far.
Me, well I just want to go through the year being a positive influence on people, enjoy my family more and spend more time with them. Enjoy life and all that it has to offer. By this I mean enjoy every day if possible. Feel the sun on my skin, breath in the air and realize that this is what is keeping me alive. I guess pay more attention to the world I was put in and take it all in one little bit at a time Roll Eyes
sounds cheesy but I don't care if I loose weight or if I have a wrinkle or two or even three on my face anymore. Life goes by fast so I am going to enjoy every bit that's given to me  Grin

I hope you feel better Melissa, lots and lots of love and light your way!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I have already started training and losing fat weight. It doesn't show on the scale so much due to muscle weight replacing it. But my clothes are starting to get loose in the right places. Other than that I want to continue to learn more about the paranormal, the occult, wiccan and pagan practices, and different religions. And all of that I can do right here. Also every year I strive to become a better photographer than I was the year before. Beyond that I just want to keep doing what I'm doing. Helping people, staying in touch with good friends, and meeting new people.

May 2008 bring light, happiness and love to all.

As for myself, well I think it's time for a career change personally.  One person can only deal with the darker side of humanity for so long before it starts to take a toll metally and physically.  It's also time for me to focus more on my music and bring happiness to those who chose to listen to it.  To all my new found friends, blessings and best wishes for the year to come.  My prayers are with you Melissa. May you be well soon.

My new year resolution. Only one thing. I am hoping this year to have more fun, with that I would have to stop being so shy or quiet!

Have a Happy New Year Everyone, and some prayer for Melissa to get better.

Thanks everyone I really appreciate it!! I was looking forward to doing my first Presidential caucus this year but I don't think I'll be well enough on the 3rd.  Sounds like everyone has great resolutions! Here's hoping we all stick to them!!

I plan on starting a new herb garden, losing weight, giving up diet coke (for the most part), and getting out more.  Oh and getting a higher paying job.

I'm sorry to hear that you are sick Melissa, I do hope that you get well soon!!
Alwaysnight, your resolutions really sounds  great!!
As for me, my main goal this year is to learn how to save money and start saving as much of it as I can. I have never been able to save money, I spend it as soon as I get it.  Roll eyes
I have a few other goals like getting my car up and running again, it has been broken down for about 4 to 5 months. ( electrical problem) I have a couple of others, but they are pretty much the same as the ones that are listed below.

P.S. Bobby, briefly, if you can, tell me how you are loosing fat and gaining muscle without loosing weight? That is exactly what I want to do, I'm at the weight that I want to be at, but it is mostly fat, not muscle  Cry maybe you can give me some pointers.

 Happy Holidays EVERYONE!!!!!!!

Hey London, I am doing it by using a good balance of different exercises. A lot of cardio work, yoga, isometrics, pull ups, push ups, rotating in several different ab exercises, Muay Thai conditioning and training, and now that the new year has started I am cracking down on what I eat. There are a lot of different exercises you can do that use your body weight for strength training but are good cardio work also. We do weight training on the machine circuit once a week. And we rotate what we are doing so the body never adapts. That way it is always working.

A good way to pick new exercises and diet tips is to watch the show the Biggest Loser. A new season starts tonight actually. They do all kinds of different training.

You have to make it part of your lifestyle and not just something you do. And make it fun. If your not having fun it will just feel like work. Having a good partner helps also. If you want to know more specifically what my partners and I are doing I can start a new topic or pm you.

No problem. Let me know if you want more information.

That show is a TV reality show. But they have some effective training methods if you watch what they do in the gym.

New Years's resolutions, I usually don't have any but this year is different.  Since I became a mother last year, first resolution to be the best mom I can to my daughter, Rain.  Second to lose weight so I can have back surgery and get off the medication.  Finally to quit smoking it just costs way to much now.  Good luck to all this year.

Where Am I?

« Reply #17 on: January 04, 2008, 01:44:07 PM »

Well I have a lot of New Year's resolutions this year, just because I want to add more positive changes in my life to counter all the negative ones as of last year. First I want to get out more, be more active and I'm going to do this through my hobby of fossil collecting and hunting. This way I'll be able to improve my health and physical fitness, while taking part in my passion of fossil collecting. I also want to study harder, and increase my marks to the best of my ability. Finally and most importantly I want to be a better future husband to my Fiancee, Sacredsin, and show her how much truly love her. A lot of big ones this year, but all worthy goals I think.

I know it's so hard to narrow it down to just a few changes. I have so many things I keep thinking of. I guess if I don't get it all this year I can still continue on into next.

Yeah smoking has gone up a lot hasn't it. Last time I heard, cigs were around $7 a pack in my home state of New York. I started smoking "Captain Black" little cigars now, because they are just over $2 compared to $4 for cigs

It's over $40.00 here for a carton of Marlboro Light 100s which is what I smoke. My step dad who is a truck driver and runs to Kansas City every night during the week, buys cigarettes down there for me. They run about $20.00 to $25.00 down there.
