I've found the attached article while surfing various Blogs.  It's entitled Dawn of the Witch and is written by a fellow by the name of Anthony North.  Mr North attempts to follow history back through time to determine when the witch first appeared.  I enjoyed reading it and thought that anyone who follows Wicca, Paganism etc might find it an interesting theory as well.  The article may be viewed at the link as noted hereunder.

That was a very interesting article. I like how the author points out at the end, that "Satanism is a perversion of Christian ritual" and "Witchcraft is a veneration of the powers and influences of nature, totally removed from any form of Christian influence."

Too many people still think of witchcraft and wicca as satanic.

Thanks for the link.  I found it to be an interesting article.  As always still disturbed that people link wicca with devil worshipping.  Maybe one day the masses will be enlightenend.
