On a serious note, Zane is a cutey, do you have some pictures in mind that you would like to show us that you may want to enter into the contest? Maybe we could vote on the ones that you should enter. Just a thought, I think that would be fun!!  Smiley

I like all of them Bobby. My only concern with the fourth one is that it is not a close up shot, do you think thats going to be a problem? My favorites are the 2nd and 3rd one, because they show that your child has some character. I think that is important!
Are you going to enter 6 pictures? Again, Good luck!  Smiley
P.S. Bobby, I was thinking, what about the picture of your son and Splatt that you put in a previous thread? That picture is awefully cute and its a close up, too. I think thats a winner! Just a thought.

You have a very good eye for composition Bobby.  Thing is I like all of them for different reasons.
Different moods, different things to say. You know what I mean? lol
Sorry I couldn't help you out more.

The first has wonderful lighting, but feels more posed.
The last also has wonderful lighting (both have great shadows).

The last has a sweet and intimate feel, as does the one with the Christmas tree. I love the colors in that one too..

I think those are my three favorites.

You use the rule of three in you shots (for composition) don't you? Is it a conscious thing or not?

I learned the rule of 3rds. But I use it as more of a guideline. You know, learn the rules then break them. Now I just look for the best angles and framing for the shot. And the kids have taught me to think quickly. Tongue

Then you have a natural sense of composition. I noticed the angles and the lines that lead the eye. Wink
If you spend too much time thinking about it you can lose the shot I suppose.

Thank you for the compliment. And yeah with kids you don't have much time to think about it before the shot is gone. It really helps when I shoot the LGHS convention. I can line up a shoot and get great candids before anyone knows I'm there. It's where the ninja nickname started.
