This book, is one of the better herbal books for anymore there is.

The entries for the herbs are divided up into four parts:
~ Parts of the plant that's used
~ Herbal uses
~ Homeopathic Uses
~ Magical Uses

There are two index's: one is a Plant index and the other is a subject index.

The book itself in Chapter's One and Two, goes over the Druids and Herb handling.

The first chapter briefly goes over the story of why herbs have to be studied in order to know what their benefits are.   The Chapter also briefly goes over the Bard class of the Druids, the Ovates class,  The Coligny Calender of the Gaulish Druids and also goes over the Celtic Tree Calender and Alphabet.

The second chapter holds the Herbal Basics such as the preparations,  general rules and the various things that herbs can be made into.

The rest of the book is divided into the Sabbats (The eight holidays of most Pagan based faiths).   The herbs listed in each of these chapters, were ones that were used most often it would appear, around the time of the respective Sabbat.   The next chapters cover other herbs used constantly by the Druids, herbs and their relations the planets, herbs used in Consecrations and Purifications and for funerals.

Others covered are Handfasting (marriage), House blessings and children blessings.

The author included a pronuciation guide which can come in handy sometimes when they are talking about the heroes of the some of the tales.

In order for there to be a re-birth, something has to die first.  Apparently, this past summer it was my turn to be re-born.
