Hi!
« on: January 31, 2008, 01:00:13 PM »

Hi everyone!

My name is Vtori.... Tori if you get stuck on the "v" spot... lol... I'm 18... and a college student.. studying Psychology and Philosophy.

Can I just tell you how happy I am to have found this community.... I nearly cried this morning... out of realization that I'm not alone... um... Gothic bimbo referred me to this site.

I am a sang/blood vamp, newly awakened and for a while I thought something was very wrong with me... the headaches and sensitivity, but the doctors couldn't find anything... (this has been since I was 11 or so) and I've been to the docs every year since I was 12..

And then I tried denial for some time  in my late teens but then I found I couldn't ignore my need for blood anymore... like I was staring at my friends and I could see their pulses and it creeped me out.... for a little while, the strong pull I felt.

I'll admit that I did dive into auto-vampirism for sometime, and I have now stopped before its become too much of a repetitive cycle and I've found that its not helpful anyways... I also drink V8... as I've yet to figure out a way of getting a donor or to a butchers place...I've heard that beef blood is okay? someone also mentioned a carrot juice and v8 combo...

My only problem is the need for blood sometimes gets to be overwhelming, on those days, I tend to keep to my dorm room.... but I have found that banana's are extremely helpful! I've been eating them for sometime, but its only a matter of time before I need blood again....

The articles and terminology on this site was really helpful... I must have sat here for hours looking at it all, seeing how it explained exactly how I've been feeling...

Okay, I think I talk to much... but I'm looking forward to making new friends.
Take care and dark blessings,
Vtori

P.S. As a newly awakened there still is a lot that I don't know, so if I offend you in some way I definitely didn't mean it and I'm sorry if I do.

Hello Tori, I would like to welcome you to ADN. I also ask that you please read the forum rules, provided here before going any further.
We do not allow discussions of blood in our main forums and have pretty strict rules on grammar as well. I will however answer one of your questions, when it comes to drinking animal blood, that's a definite no-no! There's too many diseases that can come from that, there's also an arguement that a vampire does not recieve any vital energy from dead animal blood, so what purpose would it really provide? There's more information on that in our private forums.

Okay. I'm sorry I offended anyone.

Yeah, I take that back, it definately didn't sound too appealing to me, either.. it was just something I had heard. I will take a look at all the rules and guidelines as well.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Welcome, vTori! I have been awakened for about 3 years now, though I realize now that it's a life long process. I would be happy to help in any way I can. Feel free to IM me or EM me anytime. Every one here has been incredibly open to me and I hope to you as well. If you need anything, just "holler" at me.
