but it is those old styles and low quality film that give it that mystique I love.
Same here, that's why I love Hammer Horror. The back drops and sets on the movies with old Gothic architecture, that's one of the reasons why I watch Hammer Horror movies. I'm not saying I don't love the movies, I do. But that atmosphere just adds so much to the movie.
As far as remakes go, Hmm..I've seen my fair share of remakes that were horrible and I've seen remakes that actually I really like. I thought The Omen remake wasn't bad at all and surprised me at how close they stayed to the original. The original Omen movie, being one of my all time faves. I am always hesitant to go spend money on a ticket to see a remake in the theater. But when it comes to them remaking Nightmare on Elm Street. I'm dead set against it! That was my generations, Halloween, the big horror movie at that time. The horror movies they make now, in my opinion, are just so they can add extra gallons of stage blood to a scene. The horror movies now, just don't cut it.
