Anyone have any stories about local haunts in your area? Or would like to share some of their experiences in their local areas?

I happen to live 3-4 miles from one of the biggest haunted buildings in the country, Waverly Hills Sanatorium. It was a leading edge TB hospital built in the 20s. 63,000 people died there, 2 of them were suicides. There are countless entities there. I have heard sounds, smelt things, and seen things in there as well as being touched several times.

One of the entities that resides there takes the form of an enormous black mass. Lasers will not pass through it. And it is the only entity in Waverly who takes this form. I have seen it several times and been nose to nose with it on more than one occasion. I think it has an interest in me, probably because I run after when I see it. All of the LGHS members remain still and observe except for myself and my friend Ron. We get excited and give chase. Everyone else I have witnessed seeing this thing either freezes or runs away. It has been witnessed watching from the 4th floor balcony me and some people I was with in the parking lot. We saw it watching us after being pointed out. There is usually a drop of at least 5 degrees or more when it is present. I still have no idea what it may be, just working on some theories.

That's awesome Bobby, I've heard about Waverly Hills and if I remember correctly Ghost Hunter's did a show from there?
I can't remember the episode though and if they came in contact with the "black mass"? I would definitely be one of your crew that would either freeze or take off running in the other direction. lol

Twisted, I didn't know you live or lived closed to Waverly Hills also?

Twisted, I see you linked to Troy's site. There is a lot of good info there. And enjoy your trip. Waverly is a blast. If you get the chance you should go back and do an overnight. And since you are that close to Louisville I expect to see you at our convention in September. We put on one of the biggest paranormal conferences in the country. Troy Taylor, John Zaffis, and the guys from Ghostly Talk radio have already signed on to be there.

Yes Melissa TAPS did an episode there. And if I remember right, Steve saw it but they did not get it on camera. Also Keith Age, president of the LGHS, has a documentary about Waverly he did with the Boothe brothers called Spooked. Sci Fi airs it periodically. Also it is available on DVD and worth a purchase.

That must of been so awesome to see Bobby.  I really don't know how I would react to that...lol... I would love to be there though and see it for myself.

I had some things happen to me.  At my old house I was in my room with my friend and she was on my bed and I was sitting on the floor in front of her and someone grabbed my back.  I jumped cause I didn't expect it and freaked out....lol.. My friend thought I was crazy.  A few months later my friend and I were in my room again and it happened to her and she started freaking.....lol... This has also happened to my step sister in my room and we didn't even tell her about it until she told me.

Again in my room I was going to sleep and happened to open my eyes to find a hand right in front of my face.  I closed my eyes and when I opened them again it was gone.  That's a couple of mine.

That is a cool story magicr666. Sounds like an interesting house.

I have a good friend who was a tour guide at Waverly. She went over to guy one night who was straggling behind the group to tell him to catch up. She turned around because someone had said something to her. When she turned back around seconds later the guy had vanished. To this day she can describe his clothes in detail.

Bummer. Would have been cool to meet you in person. If your interested in a convention I know there will be one in Oklahoma later in the year. The president of my group, Keith Age, will be the main speaker.
