My name is Lauren, but I always use Sekhmet for  anything online. I love the mythology behind her, and I think I have a little sekhmet personality in myself.

I am from Santa Barbara CA, and I have (sadly) live here my whole life. I cannot wait to start saving up money and travel the world.

I found this site through another forum (Gnet) but I am really sick of the spamming that is going on there right now. I like the look and feel of this forum, so here I am..

I love vampire folklore, mainly anything serious about vampires. I do not like mental vampires, and I hope the people here understand that. I am very much interested in the paranormal, and I have been for most of my life. I want to know what is 'out there' I want to explore as much as I can.

I love photography, for which I use a digital camera and a Holga. (I love my Holga!!) If I am not taking pictures, I am writing, or trying to get the design of my tattoo right. I plan on getting it as soon as I am happy with the design.. so it might take a while. I am quite active, but mostly at night. I hate going anywhere during the day, because this town I live in is too much of a tourist trap, and if I do go somewhere in the daylight hours, I am always surrounded by people. Ugh! I am a fairly calm person, and only a few thing can really get my blood to boil..

Well, that is all I guess. Any questions, fell free to ask..

Welcome to ADN Sekhmet.  It is a pleasure to meet you.  You have said something that has peaked my curiosity in your introduction.  If you don't mind me asking what is your definition of mental vampire?  I think I already know the answer, just want to got someone else's take on it.  Enjoy your stay and be sure to take a look at the forum guidelines.

Blessings

Well, I see them as people who use others, who latch on to someone else and drag them down (depression is a good example of this). They use the people around them to get where and what they want, with no thought to anyone other than themselves. I truly despise people like that.

Thank you for the welcome.. Cheesy

You are very welcome.  Thank you for your honest answer.  I kind of thought that's what you meant, I just wanted to clarify it a little.

Blessings

Welcome. The goddess Sekhmet was the main inspiration behind my ankh tattoo. She's quite the powerful protectress. But you know that.  Smiley

I am going to get a tattoo (large wings on my back that are a collection of a lot of bird and insect wings) and I am going to get an ankh with 'Sekhmet' written along the head. I can't wait!
