Hi everyone,

I was just curious to see how many people here listen to opera, and what your favourite opera is. I love opera, I would have to say one of my favourites would be Pagliacci, but I'm looking forward to seeing La Boheme this upcoming fall played by "Opera Cleveland." Also, if anyone has any recommendations on good performing houses, please share your opinions.

I've never been big on Opera. It usually puts me to sleep, so I don't listen to it. When I was in high school choir however, we had to learn and come to appreciate the Soundtrack from Phantom of the Opera. That's about as close as I get to listening to opera.

Have you been reading my thoughts Melissa?  Laughing
I read the thread earlier and thought about it. The only exposure I've had to opera was Phantom of the Opera.

Phantom of the Opera isn't quite opera, but it's not bad lol.
Phantom of the Opera would be up there as far as musicals I like go, but the number one musical is still sweeney todd. Smiley

I am originally from Northern New Mexico so I used to go to the Santa Fe Opera House all the time.
My favorite opera would be Madame Butterfly. Also, Phantom of The Opera is another fun one.

I highly recommend it. The costumes are awesome and the storyline is great!
