You never saw the glow-in-the-dark one? It has been around for years, looks neat in a black light.

Couldn't get past their 2nd page.  Everything that is written there with regard to the history is crap. 100 percent bona fide, female bovine fecal matter.  Not that I'm an expert, but I have done my homework.

I  think I was around between 7 or 8yrs old, I was invited to a slumber party. Heather was a little older than me at the time, as we hanged out together at the shopping stores, to get some late snakes for the party.By night fall, Heather and I had walked on over to Joanne's home, as we ranged the doorbell. Everyone was enjoying themselves, then Joanne turned the music down to make announcement, for everyone to join her in a game. The girls and I walked into her bedroom, there were several game boards on the carpet, except one that had large letterings, "yes" and "no" with a pear-like shape object placed on the board.  Kimberly was asked to lay flat against the floor, at the center of the room. The rest of us sat in a circle-like formation, while holding hands. The game Joanne announced that is called "light as a feather". The object of the game was to see if we could use our energies to levitate Kimberly above floor level? I giggled at the the idea, thinking that Joanne had a little too much soda? lol  Anyway, Joanne walked toward the center of the room, and knee led down next to the board with the pear-like object. Everyone sat quite while focusing their attention on Kimberly's body weight, being light as possible. It seems that Joanne was chanting over the board, while keeping a close eye on Kimberly, and then it happen! The rest of the girls went screaming out of the bedroom, as I watched Kimberly to slightly be suspend above the carpet floor, but since the girls had released from holding hands with me, as for Kimberly, what goes up, must come down, and ohh my did she come down. Today, now that we're all grown up, Joanne doesn't want to try working with the Quija board again.

When I was sixteen, my friend and I thought that we would "try" out one. She hadn't brought the "pointer" so we used one of my rings. We were actually at school, using one of the study rooms in the library. She had brought the board. We started asking it basic questions. "Will I get married?" Things like that. At first it was okay. Then it started to change. The answer were no longer "yes" or "no" but "garbled". It started to spell out things. Peoples names, some were people we hadn't seen in ages or we knew were dead. When I finally caught on I asked the "entity" who it was. It spelled out a name I had never seen before. It scared us both and I let go of her hand. She put the board away and we never spoke of it again. My arm was numb and ice cold for the rest of day.

Two months later my older sister went to a Fangoria convention. She came home with a statue she had bought from a well known artist at the time. ( I can't remember his name now, but he worked on several movies for Clive Barker and others back then.) Anyway, When she unwrapped the statue and told me what it's name was I went white and nearly fainted. It was a huge clay vase. With a demonic looking skull with horns and a ridge of spikes down it's spine. She said the artist had given it the same name as the entity Jules and I had talked to through the board! I screamed at her and told her she wasn't allowed to bring it in the house.

I had never told her about what happened to Jules and I so she had no way of knowing what she had done.

I have never touched a board since. And I never will. It took me years to get that "thing" out of my life and I'm not about to give it another chance.
