If you use a ouija board you should always take steps to protect yourself before and after. Shielding is a must. And if contact with an entity is made it has to be told to return to where it came from.

Maybe thats why I've never had anything happen to me while using one.  I've always done it with a close friend of mine and we always shield and call for protection first.

I know that now LOL. But back then, even though my family is full of Witches, Ouija Boards were not used in my family. I had no idea what I was getting into or I never would have done it. I certainly don't condone their use by the "8years and up" set. Are they out of their "FREAKIN" minds? And they wonder why there are so many pre-teens and teens that are the targets of these entities. They practically serve them up on silver platters!

I hope you cleansed the board before you burned it, you should never burn the Ouija board without cleansing it, it leaves an open doorway from the spirit plane. Trust me, I know. My mom did that and after that, I had a lot of problems, like I would be sitting a the dinner table eating and I would go blank. My mom told me that I would just sit at the dinner table without moving or blinking. She told me that I snapped out of it 4 hours later, remember nothing. Another time is when I would wake up from a deep sleep with giant spiders crawling all over me. I would jump out of bed and turn the light on, and there would be nothing there. There were alot of other bad things, but I'd rather not go into it.

Unfortunately the "game" does not come with those instructions on the box. People don't believe and even if they do they don't know how to protect themselves. Sometimes they end up with unexpected guests that refuse to go home.

Not only is it to return to where it came from, but also that it cannot leave the immediate area.  This way there is a smaller risk of something unpleasant following you home at the end of the evening.  I think that this one is in small print underneath made in China on the bottom right.

That is how it is for the large majority of people who use them. Which is actually a good thing. But there are cases when people do contact something, and it usually turns nasty.

I think it takes the right person, or combination of people to actually have something come through. Possibly someone with latent psychic gifts who is not aware of them.
