US superstition regards the two dollar bill as unlucky to the holder, particularly if won in through gambling.

A cricket in the house brings good luck and must not be harmed, same for ladybugs.
A toad in the garden insures a good harvest.
Killing a spider is bad luck.
Wearing amber protects against illness and the evil eye.
If you say "white rabbit" three times at the full moon, by next full moon you will receive a surprise or a gift.
