SanguinL, I loved this book to DEATH. I was very sad that Rowling had to kill off almost everyone, but I liked the unexpectedness of it all. So intense and daring.. it almost hurt to trudge through all of Harry's (and everyone else's) grief and death, all the while asking questions that seemed to make a lot more sense to me at the time- but then, this is no jolly hero fantasy story.

My favorite part is when Harry goes unconscious and Albus speaks to him. And that weird baby thing! Was that part of Voldemort? I couldn't really put my finger to it (course I was busy taking in everything else lol).

I'll say now the movie will never do it justice. I can't really say any of the movies have done the books justice, save maybe the first one. But I'll never understand why they made the movies PG-13 in the first place- this is a somewhat heavy, somewhat morbid series! And of course they didn't time it like the producers of Lord of the Rings, so there's that issue... (I could rant all day but won't... lol)

Yes. The epilogue was the relaxing pinnacle of the book, and probably the whole series. I am very glad it ended like it did. And, most likely because it was surreal, I don't think I would have liked it as much with another ending.

I think I have three books... all out of order of course, but I would like to finish the collection to keep on my shelf
