This is an update of a news story that took place last year.

'Vampire' Killing Horror
Updated: 14:49, Wednesday March 28, 2007
A court in Canada has been hearing details of an horrific triple murder case that is being linked to vampirism.
Jeremy Allan Steinke, 23, and his girlfriend, who was 12 at the time of the incident, are accused of killing a couple and their son at their home last April.
The deaths of Marc and Debra Richardson and their eight-year-old son in Medicine Hat, Alberta, have dominated the news in Canada, which has one of the world's lowest crime rates.
The disturbing age disparity of the two accused, and claims that Steinke believed he was a 300-year-old werewolf, made headlines around the globe.
Teen websites suggested the accused met on a 'goth' site linked to vampirism - and that the young girl quickly came under his influence.
Details of the couple's blogs, which featured Steinke's gruesome poetry and a photo of the girl posing with a pistol, have added more twists to the story.
A judge has agreed to requests from Steinke's lawyers for more time to draw up psychiatric assessments.
This week's court hearings are proving difficult for those close to the case.
"It's going to be pretty traumatic, especially for the families," said a police spokesman.
Even seasoned investigators tasked with collecting evidence from the triple murder inside the otherwise-tidy house were not immune to the horror.
"It was a pretty gruesome crime scene," said the spokesman, adding that counselling was provided to officers.
Two other teenagers have been charged in connection with the killings, accused of giving false alibis and destroying evidence.
