Vampirism associated with Energy Signatures

We have received permission from Sedona, a Co-Admin over at Darkness Embraced to post this article here. Thanks Sedona!

*A note from Sedona:
Before I begin with the article there are a few comments I'd like to make first. One, please don't read this essay and think I am attacking the current ways of vampyrism; I am entitled to my own opinions just as anyone else is. The sole purpose of this article is to get people to take information they already know and see what they can come up with in their own rights using their own mind and words, not someone else's. Second, these are my personal views on things. Third, this is free distribution, if you feel like this article is good enough to give to others then by all means do so. Proper credentials would be appreciated ;), now onto the essay*

When we look at the word vampyre, or the word vampire, we cannot help sometimes but picture a looming being hidden behind shadows with elongated fangs and wearing a crimson or black cloak and pallid skin. This is mainly the image that has been implanted into our heads from historical myths, legends, and hollywood depictions. As we know, modern-day vampyres do not necessarily fit the image of the above mentioned. Vampyrism has become an aesthetic look or roleplay stage rather than a philosophy or form of spiritualism. Many encompass the persona of the Hollywood or mythical vampyre rather than seriously sitting down and asking themselves what they think a vampyre is outside what fiction and legends have taught us. So, what do I believe a vampyre is? Well, this is what I came up with one day sitting in my room thinking...

I believe a vampyre is a being who has the ability to absorb the energy from living, nonliving, and dynamic (by that I mean things such as thunderstorms, tidal waves, even sirens...etc) things. Now with that in mind, every human being, animal, plant...etc...on earth has that ability. Hence in most ways we are all "vampyres". HOWEVER, the major differences between vampyres and the mundanes is perhaps a heightened awareness of our ability and the skill (though it takes years to master this) to filter and control our energy intake. Take, for example, the empath who feeds on the emotions of others. Let's just say this empath is usually a happy-go-lucky, sunny-disposition type. The empath would have something called a Human Energy Field (HEF, term taken from sanguinarius.org, it's pretty similar to the idea of an aura) unique to their mood and personality. They come across someone who is sad and depressed most of the time, having a totally different HEF than the empath. Once they come into close enough range of each others' field, the energy vibrations will start to diffuse into one another. This goes into the physics theory of "energy is never destroyed, only displaced." Because the empath is someone who is aware of the condition of energy exchange, they may (or may not depending on their level of training) become greatly effected by the other's HEF, becoming depressed themselves. However, the other might feel or become slightly better when in the presence of the empath, not because they are aware of the condition, but rather from the natural exchanges our body makes with the energies of other beings and earth. This type of energy exchange doesn't happen only with other people, but with weather changes, animals and plants, when we eat/drink, when we keep company, and even the movement of the earth.
